As a professional newborn photographer, I pride myself in capturing and creating the precious images of the miracle that you helped create. Their sweet little toes, their tiny little fingers.. these moments fly by so quickly and your memory of them fades over time.

Newborns are best photographed within the first 2-3 weeks from birth which is why I always recommend my clients to book in their sessions while they are still pregnant.Anywhere from 16 weeks onwards is ideal.When booking in your session, I will add your name to my diary and then have you contact me within 1-3 days of babies arrival so that we can lock in a date for your session!

Once you arrive at my studio, I will have you strip baby down to their nappy and give him or her a feed if they’re due, this means that we won’t need to disturb babytoo much afterwards. If your little babe is already fed and sleepy then i’ll move straight into wrapping to make them nice and snuggly. I generally start my newborn sessions with family and sibling images first and then we move into the individual photos of baby afterwards.

I have a selection of props for baby so there’s no need to bring along any specific outfit for them. However, when dressing baby to arrive at your session, I do recommend dressing him/her in easy to remove clothing, usually a zippy wondersuit is great as it’s easy to take off with minimal disturbance to baby. If you’d like to have family and sibling images included in your session (I highly recommend), then just ensure you’re all dressed in neutral colour clothing with minimal patterns and no logos.

Between setting up for your newborn session and cleaning up afterwards,photographing you and your sweet new baby and loading, culling and retouchingyour images, I can easily spend 20+ hours in order to deliver a beautiful collection of images for you. After a lot of experience in photographing teeny, tiny babies, you can rest easy knowing that your new little babe is in the best of hands.
